Personal profile


Emily (Eddie) Drayton graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia in 2010. After graduation, he worked in a professional poultry and rare animal (PET) hospital, worked with industry certified experts, and accumulated a lot of experience in pet anesthesia. He came to China in 2014 and worked as a senior resident veterinarian of Sichuan Longqiao black bear rescue center of Asian animal fund in Chengdu by 2020. Responsible for supervising the treatment and nursing of the moon bear rescued from the bear farm, and helping to establish a small animal teaching hospital with an ambulance center. At the same time, she is also an off campus instructor of the off campus practice base of China Agricultural University and a mentor of the DVM project of the University of Sydney, Australia. She is very interested in veterinary education. She cooperates with experts in imaging, cardiology, neurology, surgery, zoo medicine, emergency medicine and animal welfare to bring improved veterinary education to China. At the same time, it also holds the international advanced certification of applied animal behavior (feline) and a member of the British pet behavior Advisory Committee (apbc). In 2019, Eddie won the "young alumni of the year" award from the University of Sydney for her contribution to veterinary science and animal welfare. Eddie is committed to improving animal welfare by improving veterinary education and advocates painless survival for all animals, large and small.
